Vince grew up in a loving Catholic family in the suburbs of Maryland and came to know Jesus in a personal way in college in 1980. He had dreamed of becoming a pilot since the age of 7 and worked hard to achieve that dream by attending an aeronautical university in Florida, and building up his flight time over the next 7 years. Molly was raised on a sheep farm in Maryland in a wonderful Christian home and gave her heart to Jesus at a very young age. She was strongly influenced by missionary biographies and longed to serve Jesus as a missionary someday. Vince and Molly met in 1985 while serving as leaders in a youth ministry and were married the next year. He was hired by a major airline in 1988 and in 1990 they were able to move back home to be near our family. In 2001, Vince went to Lebanon on a short term missions trip and was very touched by the testimonies of the Christians and missionaries there. He came home with his heart on fire for missions and they started praying for God’s direction in their lives. God led them to PMA and were impressed by PMA’s work in the islands of Micronesia. They applied with PMA and were accepted as missionaries in the fall of 2004. They finally arrived in Yap in March of 2007.
Vince and Molly appreciate how PMA has been able to come into a people group with a very strong culture and concentrate on changing hearts and not the culture. They have 5 children: Victoria, Andrew, Corban, Jack and Nathaniel (born in Yap) who enjoy participating in the various activities, Molly enjoys working with the Sunday School children, and Vince co-teaches a men’s Bible study for the men on Monday evenings. Vince is grateful that God is allowing him to use his love of flying to further His kingdom.
